Mincer Holeplates or Mincing Plates are available with different diameter holes – we have plate with hole sizes - 3/ 4.5 /6 /8/ 10 /12 /14 /16 /18mm. Traditionally finer mince for sausage is minced to 4.5mm but for your sausage’s like Italian Salami or Continental Sausage and Afrikaans Boerewors you will need a coarser mince like 6 -8mm. Larger hole plates are used to cube the meat or can be used for the first run through the mincer saving time.

Holeplate sizes for a guide are:

#8 Diameter 61mm and 10mm Centre Hole

#10/12 Diameter 69mm and Centre Hole 11mm

#22 Diameter 84mm and Centre Hole 12mm

#32 Diameter 99mm and Centre Hole 15mm
