Replacement bandsaw blade for Wallis meat saws. 1830mm around the loop, 16mm wide, 4 teeth per inch, stainless steel.

At 1830mm this is the shortest blade in the range, so it runs on smaller wheels and goes through more flex cycles per hour than a long loop does. Tension and storage matter more here than on the big floor standing machines. A blade left tight overnight will usually let go at the weld long before it ever goes blunt.

The 4 TPI pitch is the general purpose spacing for meat. Coarse enough to clear bone chip instead of packing up, fine enough to leave a clean face on the cut rather than a torn one.

Stainless steel matters most on a saw that sits idle between jobs. A carbon blade left damp in a shed will pit and mark the wheels. This one washes down and goes back on.

Measure before you order

Blade length is the full loop, not the height of the machine. Lay your old blade flat in a circle and measure right around it, or check the plate on the saw. Machine names change over the years but loop lengths do not, so the measurement is the number to trust. If your saw is not listed, send us the length and we will confirm it.

When to replace it

A blade starts wandering off line well before it looks blunt. If you are leaning on the cut harder than usual, the blade is drifting away from square, or you are getting fine bone dust instead of clean chip, it is finished. Pushing a tired blade loads the wheels, the bearings and the motor, and that repair costs a great deal more than a blade does.

Care

Back the tension off at the end of the day. Wash down, dry the blade and the wheel faces properly, and hang spares coiled rather than folded flat.

Who it suits

Butcher shops running daily, farms breaking down their own beast, and home setups doing a few animals a season. Same blade either way.
