This is the longest blade in the range and it fits machines that are getting hard to buy parts for. Dalgety MBL saws are still working in sheds and shops around Australia decades after the last one was sold, and the usual reason one gets retired is not the machine failing but the owner not being able to find a blade for it.
The 4 TPI pitch is the general purpose spacing for meat work. Coarse enough to clear bone chip instead of packing up, fine enough to leave a clean face on the cut rather than a torn one.
Stainless steel is worth paying attention to on a machine you cannot easily buy parts for. A rusting blade marks the wheel faces, and on a saw this age those wheels are not something you can simply order in.

Measure before you order
Blade length is the full loop, not the height of the machine. On an older saw the plate is often unreadable, so the reliable method is to lay your old blade flat in a circle and measure right around it. Send us the length and we will confirm the fit.
When to replace it
A blade starts wandering off line well before it looks blunt. If you are leaning on the cut harder than usual, the blade is drifting away from square, or you are getting fine bone dust instead of clean chip, it is finished. On an older machine a worn blade also puts load on bearings that are not easy to replace.
Care
Back the tension off at the end of the day. Wash down, dry the blade and the wheel faces properly, and hang spares coiled rather than folded flat. If the saw is a seasonal machine, store it with the tension released.
