Stainless steel filling funnel for Tre Spade #5 sausage stuffers. 20mm outlet, the size most batches get made with.
20mm is the hog casing size. It suits natural hog casings in the 28/32mm and 32/36mm range, which covers snags, bratwurst, Italian sausage and most of what ends up on a barbecue.
If you are buying one funnel and are not sure which, this is usually the one. It moves meat quickly enough to keep a batch moving without being so wide that a hog casing struggles to hold shape as it fills.
Which size do you need
- 12mm sheep casings, chipolatas, thin breakfast sausage
- 20mm hog casings, snags, bratwurst, thick sausage
- 30mm cacciatore and smaller salami
- 40mm salami and larger fibrous casings
The size is about the casing, not the machine. All four fit the same #5 stuffer.
Why stainless
Raw meat sits against this for the length of a batch and it gets washed constantly. Stainless does not pit or discolour, and it wipes clean rather than holding fat in the surface.
Fitment
Suits Tre Spade #5 sausage stuffers. If you are not certain which stuffer you have, send us a photo of the front plate and we will confirm before you buy.
Care
Wash in warm soapy water straight after filling, before fat has a chance to set inside the tube. Rinse, dry fully, and store somewhere it will not get knocked out of round.
